The Town of Mount Pleasant is seeking to nurture the local arts community through a community arts center, but the questions of where, how and when are still up in the air. During a Special Town Council meeting on Aug. 8, the Culture, Arts and Pride Commission recommended answers to these questions to help clear up some misconceptions. In March, it was revealed that two locations were being considered for lease for a community arts facility. Town leaders confirmed that the two locations, one the former site of a gym on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and the other a smaller space on North Highway 17.
