Tell me about your professional background and how you feel it makes you a good fit to be a council member. I started out my career as a newspaper reporter who covered local governments, as well as the police and courts for a number of different communities. From there, I went to work as the communications director for the 14th Circuit Solicitor's Office. I came to Mount Pleasant in 2014 to work as the marketing director of Rogers, Patrick Westbrook and Brickman. I served two terms on the Charleston County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and then also served for about five years on the Board of Directors for SCCADVASA (South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault).
