BROOKLYN, MI – With just one employee, it's safe to say the Mount Pleasant-based Beard Motorsports is the smallest Cup Series team in NASCAR. The team contracts most of its jobs – including the driving, with Austin Hill racing in select events for the team in 2023. For the first time, Beard Motorsports will compete at its home track. Hill qualified 30th for Sunday's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. It'll be emotional to see their No. 62 Chevrolet take the green flag, said Linda Beard, who now owns the team.
